Experience the Journey

hand holding an small plant iStock_000009971670XSmallLife is a journey from birth to death.  But until we passionately experience life with all our senses, we’re not truly living. Instead, we read and watch. We gather information like a Hoover vacuum, and still we are lost.

Knowledge is knowing. But life is doing. And through doing, we learn. However, doing requires effort.

You can read about gardening and know exactly how to grow things. You may even be an expert. But, until you

turn the soil,

smell it’s richness,

plant the seed,

water it,

watch it grow,

harvest the fruit,

and taste its sweetness

only then do you truly experience gardening.  So it is with life.

The most rewarding part of the journey is determined by the amount of risk we’re willing to take. Risk-taking is like the fertilizer of gardening.  When we take reasonable risks, we stretch, climb and grow. Our lives become richer and more magnificent than we ever could have imagined.

What will you grow in your garden of life today?
